My name is Edmund but people all me Edmund of Nordwich. Today, at the hour fo my death and penniless, I am writing these words as my only legacy after having lived for a long time. I have seen how my friends, enemies and relatives have died. God has tormented me for living such a long life.
I was born in Norwich in the year of Our Lord MLXVII. It is said that day I was born a bright light crossed the sky. My parents thought this was a sign that something bad was about to happen.
